WHO DO YOU THINK HAS YOUR BEST INTEREST AT HEART WHEN IT COMES TO FOOD SECURITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT?
Manitoba's Family Farmers who live and work on the land 24/7/365
Manitoba Hydro, the politically hijacked Crown Corporation that has proven it will stoop to any low to push through its controversial BiPole lll project?
Stop the Crown Corp Manitoba Hydro Bullies!
Manitoba Hydro refuses to negotiate in good faith, is not respecting the property rights of family farmers -- which are your property rights, too -- and will not recognize the Canadian Association of Energy & Pipeline Landowners Associations [CAEPLA], their chosen collective representative.
Manitoba Hydro and the PC Government are using police state tactics to bully and intimidate landowners whenever they meet opposition to building the transmission towers for Bipole III. Instead of consulting with rural citizens, they are surveilling them!
Farmers and landowners know how to best take care of their own land, livestock, and agriculture. They have the best incentive to ensure environmental protection and biosecurity, not the Government and Crown corporation.
All Manitobans have a responsibility to uphold property rights and freedom of association. Today farmers and landowners are being threatened by Manitoba Hydro and the Manitoba PC Government, but we must fight against such encroachments for the sake of all citizens.
Manitoba BiPole Landowner Committee will keep you posted on this.
“Hydro has just been bullying their way through and just going on the land.”
- Jurgen Kohler, Manitoba Farmer
“They would rather just take the land away, rather than sit down and work out a fair business deal.”
- Manitoba Landowner
“I want to farm for many generations. I would like to give my kids the ability to have that opportunity and if something [threatening to biosecurity] should be spread, that opportunity might not exist.”
- Timothy Wiens, Manitoba Farmer
“This government is not respecting their right to freely associate.”
- Dave Core, Canadian Association of Energy and Pipeline Landowner Associations (CAEPLA)
